As a Team Lead for the Global Career Accelerator program, I instruct over 90 students in SQL, Python, and Tableau. I facilitate technical and functional assistance during synchronous lecture sessions, guiding students in applying data analytics strategies to real-world business scenarios. In addition to structured sessions, I host Drop-In office hours to mentor students, helping them refine their code and achieve mastery in data wrangling, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis. Leveraging datasets from industry leaders like Intel and The Recording Academy, I lead case studies to deepen students' proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau. Additionally, I evaluate and grade student projects, offering detailed feedback to help them optimize interactive Tableau dashboards and enhance their data storytelling skills, ensuring they are prepared to tackle complex business challenges.

As an active member of Tech Connect, I collaborated with fellow members in the Tech Development track to plan and initiate the Eco Apparel Sustainability Web Application, a passion project aimed at promoting sustainability within the fashion industry. While the project began in the spring of 2024 and is still a work in progress, I have led efforts to develop its core features, utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and APIs. The application will include a brand sustainability assessment, a brand alternative Hall of Fame, user accounts, quizzes, and donation pages. By sourcing and analyzing data from Fashion Revolution, I strive to contribute to the design and personalization of consumer experiences in the fashion industry. We plan to continue development in the fall, further enhancing the app’s functionality. In addition to project work, I actively engage in Tech Connect’s events, attending technical workshops that refine my skills and support the organization’s mission of applying technology to community-driven initiatives.

Additionally, I gained hands-on experience through a real-world web development project with Publicis Sapient, where I applied skills in product management, user research, and customer experience design to prototype a fully functional web app, writing the JavaScript code to bring it to life. Alongside these technical skills, I also developed emotional intelligence and bias management abilities, earning an Intercultural Skills Badge to complement my technical expertise.

As the Statewide Deputy Director of Kapwa, I focus on developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that provides free, accessible AAPI education to high school and undergraduate youth across Virginia. Through a series of virtual workshops, I highlight significant periods of Filipinx history, advocacy, political movements, and social trends, covering topics such as Filipino immigration, American imperialism, and public health rights. I lead the organization’s efforts in empowering Filipinx youth to become leaders for social change by organizing a summer community engagement program that funds and supports student-led advocacy projects. Additionally, I spearhead fundraising strategies, complete grant applications, and drive outreach initiatives to collect resources for community engagement projects and technical support, ensuring that Kapwa’s mission is sustainable and impactful.

As the Founder and President of the VCU chapter of Kapwa, I direct the overall strategy and growth of the organization on campus, focusing on member recruitment and fostering an inclusive community. I lead initiatives to build awareness of AAPI issues and ensure that the organization’s programs align with the needs of Filipinx and AAPI youth. As an Ignite Fellow with Teach for America for three cycles, I help BIPOC youth and children from low-income backgrounds overcome systemic educational barriers by providing high-impact tutoring in mathematics and reading comprehension. I work particularly with 5th and 6th-grade students, guiding them through key mathematical concepts in alignment with their school curriculum. Through weekly virtual group sessions, I foster a sense of belonging and affirm each student's potential for success. As the former External Vice President of Filipino Americans Coming Together (FACT) at VCU, I led a 30-member council in organizing over 10 annual culturally-focused, social, and community service events that engaged more than 250 members. Notable events included Barrio Fiesta, Culture Night, Charity Ball, and the FIND District 7 Olympics. I managed external relationships by coordinating collaborations with other organizations, devising outreach strategies, and recruiting new members. Additionally, I oversaw council acquisition, training, and the operations of sports and D7 chairs. Previously, as Cultural Liaison, I developed a curriculum on Filipinx socioeconomic history and culture, planned interactive events such as Hoy!
